About Us

Having worked outside the home when my oldest child was a baby, I totally understand the need for a reliable, trustworthy, loving childcare provider.  I try my best to meet those needs. Since my second child was born I have been blessed to be able to stay at home and provide care for lots of other children as well as my own. Over the past 15 years that I have been providing childcare, my children have grown and so has my daycare. At Little Lambs we are able to provide a wonderful combination of a loving home environment as well as age appropriate learning activities and the social experiences found in preschool. The daycare home is designed to provide children with a safe and fun place to be while they are away from their own homes. I encourage parents to discuss expectations they have and /or want for their child and myself. I am always open to any feedback about myself as a provider.  It is important that parents and providers communicate together and establish a good relationship, which is in everyone’s best interest especially the child’s.

I believe children are gifts from God. I realize how precious they are to you and I do not take the trust you have placed in me lightly. Children learn so much from birth until 5 years old and I do my best to teach them the things they will need to know to enter school and to be good members of society. I also believe it is important to allow children to be children. They learn so much by playing and they are encouraged to do that both indoors and outdoors. They are encouraged to use their imaginations. They learn by interacting with others. They learn through experiences. They are also given more structured learning activities and individual attention. I treat all children that come into my care with the same sort of care I would want for my own children. They are loved, hugged and told how special they are. I accept Newborn to School age in my care.

Daily Schedule:

One of the advantages of home-based childcare is that we can be flexible to meet the needs of the children.  We are not held to a strict, rigid set of rules.  However, children do tend to do better in a familiar structured environment and so we do try to follow the same routine each day.  Here is a normal daily schedule:

6:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. children arrive/free play

7:30 to 8:00 a.m. Breakfast and clean up (followed by free play)

8:45 time to put away toys, go potty, wash hands

9:00 to 9:30 Story time, songs, and finger plays (morning snack)

9:30 to 10:00 preschool activities

10:00 to 11:30 assorted activities using fine motor and gross motor skills/outdoor play

11:30 to 12:15 lunch time

2:15 to 12:30 clean up and go potty

12:30 to 2:30 nap/rest time

2:30 to 3:00 get up, put away cots, go potty, wash

3:00 to 3:30 snack time/clean up

3:30 to 4:45 play time

4:45 clean up and wait for parents (we either play outside or watch a video/read books depending on the weather)

All children should be picked up by 6:00 p.m. to avoid late fees.
